About Patuxent Masonic Lodge No. 218

PPatuxent Masonic Lodge No. 218 Ancient Free and Accepted Masons of Maryland is located in Upper Marlboro, Maryland serving Southern Maryland. Patuxent Masonic Lodge was chartered on May 10, 1927, under the jurisdiction of The Grand Lodge of Ancient Free and Accepted Masons of Maryland. Patuxent is proud to be an active and growing Lodge with a diverse group of members reflecting our communities in Southern Maryland. We have members with up to 65 years of Masonic service.

Our goal as a fraternity is to help better our community and help build the character of our members. 

WE MAKE GOOD MEN BETTER.

We as Freemasons are deeply involved in the communities of Southern Anne Arundel and Prince George’s County including Edgewater, Davidsonville, Deale, Harwood, Riva, Shady Side, Tracys Landing, Upper Marlboro, and Woodland Beach.

Patuxent Lodge sponsors Southern High School in Anne Arundel County and Central, Dr. Henry Wise, Largo, and Suitland High School in Prince George’s County through the Masonic Charities of Maryland Scholarship Program. – This is a very important program that has high visibility that recognize and rewards qualified seniors for their accomplishments with scholarships.

Patuxent Lodge works with the students and counselors of these schools providing community service programs such as the MD CHIP (MD Child Identification Program).

We are actively involved in the Freemason’s Maryland Safety Education and Identification Program also known as MDCHIP. Our program is a comprehensive identification and protection program designed to give families a measure of protection against the ever increasing problem of missing children and elderly family members. 

 We have sponsored MDCHIP programs in Southern Maryland participating at The Deale Firemen’s Carnival, The South County Festival, The Shady Side Maryland National Night Out, The Herald Harbor Fire Department Open House, Marlboro Day and The Anne Arundel Volunteer Fire Department Open House.

— A man who believes in a Supreme Being.
—18 years or older.
—Of good character
—Then all you need to do is ask.
